Providing a safe place for people living with dementia and their carers to enjoy themselves and make memories together. We provide, friendship, support, activities and occasional day trips.

There are two cafés per month; the second Friday at Focus Point Mansfield Woodhouse and the last Friday at St Johns Centre in Mansfield. Both sessions run from 1pm - 3pm.
If you’re looking to find out more about the café, how to donate or volunteer then please contact us

CHANDA SCHOOL ZAMBIA

The Peaceful Trust is committed to overseas aid. Building a three classroom school where previously stood two small shacks with a dirt floor and no walls, a broken piece of blackboard and half a dozen chairs. This has given 150 children (enrolled at time of opening)  a chance at an education. Our efforts didn’t stop there, we wanted to complete all the schools needs before moving our efforts to another area. With that in mind, we have built two toilets blocks and in late 2020 despite a global pandemic have dug a borehole, providing fresh drinking water for the students and wider community. 2021 will see us attempt to build housing for teachers, To learn more about our charitable activities overseas, and how you can help make it even better and more impactful. Whether you’re looking to donate money or want to volunteer your time, we are happy to receive any help you can give.

FOCUS POINT COMMUNITY CENTRE

The Peaceful Trust cares for every member of the community, no matter what their background or situation may be. The Focus Point run in partnership with Northfield Neighbourhood Management Team (NNMT) a passionate group of volunteers coming together and providing a charitable service and also a place for local businesses and the community to use on a rental basis. On the brink of closure in 2018 the Trust got involved to provide management service and stability. By the end of 2020 the centre was a bustling hub of the community providing, holiday clubs for the children, Summer and Christmas Fayres for the community, the home of our Memory Cafe and many groups including Yoga, Slimming World and gymnastic clubs.
Lend a helping hand and join our efforts today.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT NETWORK

At the start of the pandemic we moved quickly to support those who were shielding, isolated or infected with Covid-19.
Supported by our County Councillors, several District Councillors and other key members of services in the community the Focus Point Community Network was created. Funded by Notts County Council in the first place and followed by lottery’s community funding volunteers set out to go shopping, fetch prescriptions, walk dogs, put bins out and try to help with any other task our community needed.
If we couldn’t do it then we will try to find someone who can was our only promise.
Exactly one year on and our volunteers have completed almost 700 jobs. This figure is sure to rise during the roadmap to recovery.
